Holy Days Observance

Anniversary of the Martyrdom
of the Bab.
July 9 (Wednesday) Noon –2 pm

The Dispensation of the Bab began in 1844 and lasted only nine years. Its primary purpose was to prepare the way for the coming of Baha’u’llah.

Although brief, it was a period of tremendous spiritual intensity associated with religious searching around the planet. In 1850, at the order of the Persian government, the 31 year old Messenger of God was suspended in a courtyard with one of His followers and shot by a regiment of soldiers. Thousands touched by His love were beaten, imprisoned and put to death, but the new faith was like the dawn promising the rise of a message that would envelop the whole world.

Prayer for America

Make this prayer a part of your 4th of July celebration with friends and family!

O Thou kind Lord! This gathering is turning to Thee. These hearts are radiant with Thy love. These minds and spirits are exhilarated by the message of Thy glad-tidings. O God! Let this American democracy become glorious in spiritual degrees even as it has aspired to material degrees, and render this just government victorious. Confirm this revered nation to upraise the standard of the oneness of humanity, to promulgate the Most Great Peace, to become thereby most glorious and praiseworthy among all the nations of the world. O God! This American nation is worthy of Thy favors and is deserving of Thy mercy. Make it precious and near to Thee through Thy bounty and bestowal. ‘Abdu’l-Baha
