Devotional Gathering
Thursday, 17th, 7:30 – 8:30 PM at   the   home of Ron Whitehurst and Jan Dietrick,  134 Carr, 648-1580. Bahá'í Holy Day Marks the Birth of the Bab You are invited to the celebration of the Birth of the Bab. It honors the Bab, Bahá'u'lláh’s forerunner, who   was   hailed   as   the Point round Whom   the   realities   of   the Prophets   and   Messengers revolved.   The Bab, Siyyid Ali-Muhammad,   was   born   on October 20th, 1819, in the city of Shiraz,   Iran.   The Holy Day event   begins   with refreshments provided by the Camarillo Bahá'í Community   and includes a talk by Mrs. Mahyad Rahnamaieh.
          Sunday, 20th, 3 -5 PM Community Activities: Friend of the Bahá'í's Sam Hobel is   performing   "The Life and Music of Scott Joplin".   Sam will play many of Joplin’s ragtime masterpieces   and   talk   about   Joplin’s life.

"Maggie and Drey"
A   one-act   play   about   racial
barriers written   by   San   Diego
Bahá'í Christie Ryan,
is coming to Santa   Barbara,   Center   Stage
Theatre at Paseo Nuevo Shopping Center.
The play combines humor, drama and original music,
with   a touch   of truth,   into a   uniquely
moving story   of friendship   and betrayal.
It premiered at the New York Global Arts
Theatre Festival in July. Advance purchase of
